NaNoWrimo Time?

Image
I am a cheater. Why? Because I have already began my NaNo, and it is not even November yet!      You are probably thinking,  What is this NaNo you speak of Abby? Well, if you want to get the whole jist of it, click the link below. But, in a nutshell, NaNo's are the name for novels written during National Novel Writing Month, and if you write a NaNo (aka National Novel), you submit it to a site called National Novel Writing Month (aka nanowrimo.org).      You have to begin and finish your novel during November, and it has to be a whopping 50,000 words! That is why I have decided to cheat and begin mine early. (Rebellious, right?) http://nanowrimo.org/        I have decided to make my NaNo an autobiography. The title will be named after my blog- My Life's Pick.      As for progress, I have gotten very little done. I hope to be finished by the end of November. And ...

Stuck!!!!

We have been having problems with our bathroom door. My sister Lilianna recently got stuck in there- ON A SCHOOL DAY! Thankfully she was not late for school (although the door had to be kicked open). Other problems have occurred with the knob since. It had to be removed from the door, the door today. But the bad news is that the door is unable to stay close! The door is practically ancient (along with the rest of the house), so we might have to get a new door all together! Praise the Lord when we get it fixed! For now we will make do with placing the stool in front of the door while the bathroom is in use.

Creeping into Halloween!

Image
This Halloween is going to be Spoooooky! I am making some delicious desserts in the spirit of the holiday. Here is an example:    http://www.pinterest.com/pin/259449628508573116/     This is a link to an awesome recipe I am hoping to make. Aren't they adorable?      I am also working on a spooky éclair recipe I found recently. I would dye the éclair dough green, the filling red, and put a almond on top. The point is to make them into witches fingers. I am sure you get the picture.      But since every Halloween dinner is at grandma's house, Grandma is sure to make a interesting dinner (as always). And its not only interesting, its fun!

Quinn: M.I.A.

Image
My cat Quinn has officially gone missing! Though I'm somewhat sad, I have managed to put up with it.          He's been gone for about 10 days, and despite the fact that he tends to be an adventurous little guy, he's never been gone for more than about 5 days.      So what exactly could have happened to Quinn? Did he die of bird poisoning? Get kidnapped by his friends, the neighborhood stalkers? Suffocate? Get trapped? Or worst of all: find a new family?       I know that that last one would be pretty unlikely- I mean, Quinn has been my son since day one, but he's gone, and now I'm left without a cat. That sucks.      I guess I just have bad luck with pets- my fish are always dying!! Oh, well, I guess I'll just get a cat for my next birthday. I am still mad, though!

Yummy!

I made these muffins, and they look delicious! But I have a feeling they are going to BLOW! I keep hearing a sound from inside of them. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Banana-Muffins-II/Detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Thumb&e11=bannana%20nut%20muffins&e8=Quick%20Search&event10=1&e7=Home%20Page&soid=sr_results_p1i6&scale=12&ismetric=0

Change...

I suppose you have all noticed the big change in my blog's design. I have updated it to a fall theme, and will be changing it every season. Though the main idea of the blog will stay the same, I feel the look of the page needs to vary.      I think that is it, and I hope you all are happy with it.      P.S. If you have any suggestions on how I can improve my blog, please share!  thank you :)
